Larry Ray Capko, a 52-year-old convicted sex offender and member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas, has been designated as July's Featured Fugitive by law enforcement authorities. Capko, who is wanted for multiple offenses, is considered a high-risk individual, and a reward of $4,000 is now being offered for information leading to his arrest.
Larry Capko is known to have distinctive tattoos on various parts of his body, including his neck, chest, abdomen, both arms and legs, as well as his left hand. He also has a noticeable scar on his head. The fugitive is wanted for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements, and Assault of a Family/Household Member with a Previous Conviction.
Capko, who has a history of criminal activity, was previously affiliated with the notorious Aryan Brotherhood of Texas (ABT) gang. He has ties to Parker and Montague counties, specifically the cities of Springtown and Bowie in Texas.
In 2003, Capko was convicted of Escape from Custody and subsequently sentenced to two years of confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) prison system. In 2015, he faced another conviction for Sexual Assault of a Child involving a 16-year-old girl, leading to another two-year confinement sentence in TDCJ.
Further encounters with the law followed, as Capko received probation in 2017 for Assault of a Family/Household Member with a Previous Conviction. In 2019, he was again placed on probation, this time for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.
Capko's most recent encounter with law enforcement occurred in July 2022 when he was arrested in Parker County for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements. However, he was subsequently able to post bail and secure his release. On July 26, 2022, the Parker County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for Capko's arrest for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
Moreover, since December 15, 2022, the Montague County Sheriff's Office has also issued warrants for Capko's arrest. These warrants pertain to the charges of Assault of a Family/Household Member with a Previous Conviction and Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about Capko's whereabouts to come forward immediately. Citizens are reminded not to approach the fugitive themselves, as he is considered dangerous. Instead, they are encouraged to contact the Parker County Sheriff's Office or the Montague County Sheriff's Office to provide any tips that could aid in his arrest. The increased reward of $4,000 serves as an incentive to help bring Capko to justice and ensure the safety of the community.
