The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office Auto Crimes Task Force conducted a training session in Wise County last week, attended by two Wise County Fire Marshals.
During the session, the Fire Marshals spotted a burnt vehicle that had been towed over the weekend. Unfortunately, the vehicle's identification numbers were destroyed in the fire, making it unidentifiable.
However, during the lunch break, instructors were able to confirm that the vehicle was a stolen Ford Crown Victoria reported missing from Parker County.
This incident provided a practical learning opportunity for the class, highlighting the importance of identifying stolen vehicles in real-time.
