On July 23, 2024, the Carrollton Police Department provided the Addison Police Department with a tip regarding a luxury vehicle theft suspect seen driving in Addison. The suspect was reportedly driving a new Lamborghini with a stolen license plate from another vehicle. The Lamborghini itself was also believed to be stolen.
Addison officers conducted a search for the vehicle and located it parked outside a restaurant. Officers entered the restaurant, identified the suspect, and arrested him, prematurely ending his dinner date. Further investigation of the vehicle's VIN plates confirmed that the Lamborghini was indeed stolen.
