On Monday afternoon, amid the sweltering peak heat, multiple units from Everman Emergency Services responded to a residential structure fire in Forest Hill. Engine 23, Truck 19, Engine 59, Engine 35, Battalion 23, and Chief 190 were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a fully involved garage fire that was rapidly spreading into the living space of the home. An aggressive offensive attack was initiated, resulting in a swift containment of the blaze and significant limitation of damage to the interior of the house.
During the operation, crews successfully rescued two pets. Remarkably, there were no reported injuries to firefighters or civilians. In addition to Everman Emergency Services, the Forest Hill Fire Department, Kennedale Fire Department, and Edgecliff Village Fire Department provided valuable assistance in controlling the fire and ensuring the safety of the residents.
