The City of Irving has been awarded three Transparency Stars by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts for its dedication to transparent budgeting and financial reporting. The city received accolades in the categories of Traditional Finances, Public Pensions, and Debt Obligations.
This recognition marks the thirteenth consecutive year that the City of Irving has been honored with this award. The Comptroller's Transparency Stars program acknowledges local governments that excel in providing clear summaries, visualizations, and downloadable data regarding their financial health.
Previously, the city participated in the Comptroller’s Leadership Circle, which has now been replaced by the Transparency Stars program.
