On October 28th, at approximately 11:00 PM, Irving Police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 2900 block of N. Britain Rd in North Irving. Officers determined that Jacqueline Torres, 27, had assaulted her mother, a 48-year-old homeowner, and her 71-year-old grandmother. During the incident, Torres reportedly threatened her mother with a knife and physically assaulted her.
The situation escalated when her mother attempted to dial 911 for assistance. Torres allegedly confiscated the phone, preventing the emergency call, and unlawfully restrained both women within the home. EMS personnel treated both victims at the scene.
Torres was subsequently charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Interference with Emergency Request for Assistance, and Unlawful Restraint: Expose to Significant Bodily Injury. Held at the Dallas County Jail on an $80,000 bond, Torres remains incarcerated as of November 8th.
