The Lake Worth Police Department (LWPD) has issued a statement regarding a noteworthy incident that unfolded during a routine motor vehicle crash investigation in the 6300 block of Lake Worth Blvd.
While responding to the accident scene, LWPD officers made a startling discovery. A search of the vicinity revealed six ounces of methamphetamine, a loaded firearm, and multiple pieces of identifying information inside a nearby trash can. The driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash had fled the scene.
Prompt assistance from alert witnesses and surveillance footage proved instrumental in identifying the owner of the illicit drugs and the firearm. The individual in question will soon be facing first-degree felony charges.
