| Van Keith Hooper, age 76, passed away peacefully January 5, 2016 at Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos, Texas as a result of cardiopulmonary and related issues. Van was born September 12, 1939 in Stephenville, Texas to Grady and Carmen Hooper and raised in Hico, Texas where he graduated from Hico High School in 1958. He attended the University of North Texas and lived as an adult in Denton and Irving, Texas. He was a retired employee of the US Postal Service. He is survived by his son Toby Hooper and his wife Suad of San Marcos; grandchildren Gunay, Jannat and Austin; brother Grady Shelton Hooper of Georgetown, Texas, sister Janet Hooper of Hico. A service of resurrection will held at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church, 3039 Ranch Road 12 in San Marcos, January 23 at 11am.
