Charles (Charlie) W. Tucker of Saint Jo, Texas left this world after a lengthy illness on March 29, 2012.
He was born in McGregor, Texas,
October 28, 1946. He is preceded in death by his father, Bill &
mother, Georgia Tucker; brothers Bill, Milton and Danny Tucker; also by his
beloved first wife of 26 years, Teena Tucker.
He is survived by his wife,
Teresa Tucker of Saint Jo; son, Charles T. & daughter-in-law, Rochelle
Tucker and their three beloved children Abigail, Charles and Valerie of
Rowlett, Texas; daughter, Kimberly Young of Saint Jo; brother, Jerry &
Sister-in-law, Barbara Tucker of North Richland Hills, Texas; sister, Margie
Rackley of Houston, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews.
Charlie spent most of his 65 years
as a truck driver. His work took him through all of the lower 48
states. He was a simple man who loved his God, his family, and country
above all things. He was an avid reader and collector of guns and
knives. Charlie will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved
him.
There will be a memorial service at
his home at 502 N. Singletary Street in Saint Jo from 1pm-4pm, Saturday, April
7th. We will be celebrating Charlie's life with stories,
laughter and food. All are welcome to attend. The family asks that
in lieu of flowers, donations please be made in Charlie's name to the Saint Jo
Fire Department (PO Box 638, Saint Jo, TX 76265) and/or Saint Jo Public Library
