On Saturday morning, August 31, 2024, Irving Police officers responded to a burglary report at a residence in Irving. Upon arrival, officers identified a suspect based on a description provided. The suspect, a young man, fled the scene on foot, prompting a pursuit by the officers. After a brief chase and physical struggle, officers subdued the suspect and took him into custody.
The suspect initially refused to provide identification and offered false information. He was later identified as 21-year-old Nelson Odilber Caballero. Caballero was booked into the Irving Jail at 7:45 AM. Judging from his mugshot, he took a serious beating
He faces charges including Burglary of Habitation, a 1st degree felony, as well as misdemeanor charges for Evading Arrest Detention and Failing to Identify Giving False Information.
