A Decatur man was killed early Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash near the Denton and Cooke county line, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS troopers and the Sanger Fire Department responded around 4:55 a.m. on December 23, 2025, to a crash on FM-51. A preliminary investigation determined that a pickup truck was traveling northeast on FM-51 when the driver lost control, left the roadway, and struck a tree.
The driver was identified as 38-year-old Andrew Fredrick Cooper of Decatur. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released at this time.
