On Saturday, March 30th, 2024, at 11:13 am, Fort Worth police swiftly responded to the 6800 block of Coldwater Canyon Road on the far southwest side of town following reports of multiple shots fired. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that a man at the address was firing an automatic weapon into the air and towards nearby apartments.
The individual then retreated into the residence and refused to exit, subsequently causing damage to the property and continuing to discharge his weapon indoors. Additionally, it was revealed that the man had made threats of suicide to a relative.
In response, the Fort Worth SWAT team was deployed, ultimately managing to apprehend the subject without further incident. The individual is now in custody, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
