In the early hours of Sunday, April 7th, emergency services in Denton responded to a tragic motorcycle accident on Loop 288 near Shady Oaks Drive. The incident occurred around 2:12am, prompting a response from Denton Fire/EMS and Police.
According to reports, an eyewitness contacted 911 to report the accident, stating that the motorcycle had crashed and subsequently caught fire. The eyewitness claimed to have seen the motorcyclist traveling at a high speed prior to colliding with a curb.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene by Denton paramedics.
Following the incident, lanes were temporarily closed as Denton police commenced their investigation into the crash. As of now, the circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
