On Thursday, June 27, 2024, at approximately 7:07 a.m., the Euless Police Department and Fire Department responded to a crash in the 2300 block of Highway 121 northbound involving three vehicles.
Witnesses reported that a small SUV had been traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving through traffic. The vehicle attempted to pass on the inside shoulder and struck a disabled pickup truck that was stopped there. The driver then hit a second vehicle in the travel lane of the highway.
After the collision, the small SUV became engulfed in flames. The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was deceased at the scene and has not been identified at this time.
The disabled pickup truck was occupied by an adult male, who was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the third vehicle was medically evaluated by Euless Fire Department medics at the scene and released.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
