Fatal Shooting in Fort Worth Claims Three Lives, Including Two Children

At 11:40 p.m. on July 4th, Fort Worth officers responded to a fatal shooting incident in South Fort Worth. Upon arrival at the 7500 block of W. Cleburne Rd., they discovered an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body. The victim was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Simultaneously, five additional shooting victims arrived at a nearby hospital via private vehicles, all with injuries stemming from the same incident. Tragically, two of these victims, identified as 15-month-old Wynter Thouston and four-year-old Ivy Pierce, did not survive.

Three other victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries. According to detectives, the shooting erupted following a fight between the suspect and one of the victims. The suspect opened fire on the victim and others present at the scene.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect also sustained gunshot wounds during the altercation. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has classified the deaths of Wynter Thouston and Ivy Pierce as homicides.
