On Sunday, February 16, 2025, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Johnson County ESD, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, and Texas DPS Troopers responded to a vehicle accident in the 3500 block of FM 2738 near County Road 607.
Law enforcement arrived to find a single vehicle with major damage and one unresponsive occupant. A CareFlite helicopter was initially launched but later disregarded due to the severity of injuries.
A 19-year-old man, identified as Carlos Daniel Rosales of Alvarado, was pronounced deceased at the scene. He lived near the crash site.
DPS Troopers are investigating the cause of the accident.
