Angel Kelly Alejandro, 27, of Irving, Texas, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) on February 20th after being found walking on Interstate 75 (Alligator Alley) in Collier County.
An FHP trooper located Alejandro, who initially provided a false name, near mile marker 84. A subsequent identification check revealed that Alejandro, also known as “Garfield,” was a fugitive wanted for murder by the Dallas Police Department.
Alejandro is accused of shooting and killing 46-year-old Hector Eduardo Alvarez-Rosales on July 4, 2024, in the 2100 block of 52nd Street in east Oak Cliff, Dallas.
In addition, Alejandro had two outstanding warrants for Child Sex Contact and Possession with Intent to Promote Child Pornography.
Alejandro was arrested and transported to the Collier County Jail to await extradition to Texas.
