The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle that occurred on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at approximately 6:24 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Eden Road and Golf Club Drive, where they found 51-year-old Brian Hovious of Arlington unresponsive in the roadway. Hovious, who was riding the motorcycle, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
According to investigators, the driver of the vehicle attempted to turn left from the westbound lanes of Eden Road onto Golf Club Drive, as Hovious was approaching the intersection eastbound on his motorcycle. The two vehicles collided, and Hovious was thrown from the bike. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained at the scene, cooperating with authorities. He stated he did not see the motorcycle before the collision and was not injured. No criminal charges have been filed against the driver at this time.
Officers later discovered narcotics in Hovious's pants pocket, and they have not ruled out the possibility of intoxication. The investigation is ongoing.
