The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident after a body was discovered in the roadway of NW Loop 820 between Quebec Street and Navajo Trail on the morning of Monday, May 5, 2025. The Lake Worth Police Department initially notified Fort Worth authorities of the discovery.
Responding officers confirmed that the individual was deceased at the scene.
Fort Worth police are investigating reports that the deceased was struck by a vehicle that subsequently fled the scene. Authorities have stated that there are currently no reported witnesses to the incident.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will be responsible for identifying the deceased individual.
The Fort Worth Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit is actively investigating this incident.
