ATV Accident Claims Life of 14-Year-Old Juvenile in Eastland County

On Sunday, July 16th, a distressing ATV accident on private property, north of Cisco off Hwy 183, resulted in the loss of a young life. At approximately 3:40 PM, Deputies with the Eastland County Sheriff's Office rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the incident.

According to initial investigations, a 14-year-old juvenile male was operating a Ranger ATV when he unfortunately lost control of the vehicle. The ATV overturned, tragically pinning the young individual underneath it, leading to a fatal outcome.

As the community mourns the loss of the young victim, the Sheriff's Office is actively working to provide support to the grieving family during this difficult time. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing, and further details have not been released at this time.

Sheriff Weger expressed his deep condolences and sympathy for the family and friends of the young victim. He stated, "Our hearts ache for the family and friends of the young victim who lost their life in this tragic ATV accident. No words can adequately express the pain and sorrow we feel for their unimaginable loss. We are here to support them during this difficult time, and our thoughts and prayers are with them.
