City of Irving Engages Residents for Input on FY24 Budget Planning

Irving City's Budget Team is gearing up for the Fiscal Year 2023-24 (FY24) budget planning process and is encouraging residents to actively participate by sharing their suggestions, feedback, and opinions. The city officials are seeking community input to ensure that the upcoming budget aligns with the needs and priorities of its residents.

The budget planning process is now in full swing, and City of Irving residents can get involved by visiting the official website CityofIrving.org/Budget. On the website, they can find valuable information about the current budget under the "FY23 Budget Executive Summary" tab, providing an overview of the financial status of the city and the allocation of funds for various projects and initiatives.

The adoption of the FY24 budget is scheduled to take place on September 14, marking the commencement of the fiscal year from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024. The City of Irving is determined to create a budget that reflects the community's needs and aspirations, making it essential for residents to engage in the decision-making process.

To facilitate communication and gather public input effectively, the City of Irving has introduced a platform known as "Ask the Budget Fiscal Friends (BFFs)." This avenue allows residents to directly contact the Budget Team with their suggestions, concerns, and questions related to the FY24 budget. Anyone interested in participating in the planning process or seeking clarifications can now reach out to the Budget Team by emailing AskTheBFFs@CityofIrving.org.
