Westbound Irving Boulevard, from Strickland Plaza to Britain Road, will be closed Aug. 23 at 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for roadway paving. Traffic will be detoured to northbound Nursery Road, then to westbound Pioneer Drive. Traffic will turn south on Britain Road to return to westbound Irving Boulevard.
Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes.
This work is associated with the Irving Boulevard Reconstruction Project, a $20+ million downtown revitalization project to redesign a 1-mile section of Irving Boulevard that runs through the city’s historic Heritage Crossing District.
