In a tragic incident early this morning, a woman sustained major injuries following a crash on Interstate 30 near Akard Street. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office (DSO) reported that the woman was involved in a collision and had exited her vehicle on the highway when she was struck by a passing motorist.
Dallas Fire Rescue quickly responded to the scene and transported the injured woman to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The exact details of the crash and the identities of those involved have not yet been disclosed.
To facilitate the investigation by DSO, all lanes of westbound Interstate 30 were diverted to Interstate 35E, causing temporary traffic disruptions in the area.
