Shots Fired Incident in Princeton Neighborhood Remains Under Investigation

On the night of September 3, 2023, Princeton Officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the Trails of Riverstone and Princeton Meadows subdivisions at approximately 10 pm. Officers arrived promptly at the scene and began their investigation.

After speaking with several residents who reported hearing gunshots, officers attempted to locate the source of the gunfire. Despite an extensive search of the area, no suspects or bullet casings were found. Officers expanded their search by surrounding the neighborhood and examining the walking trails connecting the subdivisions.

Numerous residents came forward with video footage of the incident, although the recordings captured only the sound of the shots. Preliminary analysis suggests that the weapon used was a semi-automatic gun, as multiple shots were fired in rapid succession.

Investigators are diligently collecting information and conducting a thorough inquiry into the incident. As of now, no victims have come forward, and no physical evidence has been discovered.

While it is currently dove hunting season, law enforcement officials do not believe this incident is related to hunting activities. The incident occurred at a time later than the permitted hunting hours, and the nature of the gunfire, including the rapid succession of shots, does not align with typical hunting practices.
