On September 16, 2023, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Dallas Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Kenesaw Drive in West Dallas following a shooting call. Upon arrival, officers discovered 53-year-old Santos Chavez lying in the driveway of his residence with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene, but Mr. Chavez succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing, and the case will be referred to a Grand Jury. The incident will be documented under case number 167134-2023.
