On October 27, 2023, Irving Police were called to the scene of a hit-and-run crash. In the afternoon, officers successfully located the suspect, identified as 54-year-old Joseph Camarillo. Camarillo attempted to flee from the police, but officers managed to apprehend him.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the suspect was uninsured and had four open warrants from the Arlington Police Department, as well as three warrants from the Grand Prairie Police Department. These warrants were all related to offenses such as failing to have insurance, traffic-related crimes, and driving without a valid driver's license.
Joseph Camarillo has now been charged with evading arrest with a vehicle, which is classified as an F3 level charge. His bond has been set at $10,000, and he is currently being held at the Irving Jail.
