On November 1, 2023, at approximately 7:20 a.m., Tarrant County Sheriff’s Deputies and Briar-Reno VFD responded to a call about a pickup truck that had collided with a mailbox in the 7400 block of Portwood Rd in Azle.
Upon their arrival at the scene, deputies discovered that the truck had rolled over as a result of the collision. A man was found trapped in the driver's seat of the overturned vehicle.
Emergency responders swiftly acted to extricate the driver from the wreck, and he was subsequently transported via a CareFlite helicopter to a local hospital. The driver's current condition remains unknown.
It is suspected that the crash may have transpired several hours before it was reported and subsequently discovered by authorities.
Tarrant County Crash Investigators have initiated an inquiry into the incident to determine the cause of the crash.
