In a recent incident, Lake Worth police officers were called to Spring Creek BBQ located at 6701 Lake Worth Blvd around 1:30 pm on November 1st in response to an accidental shooting.
According to officials, a man was in the process of holstering his weapon when it discharged, hitting him in the upper hip. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital by MedStar EMS with serious injuries, although his condition is not considered life-threatening.
This incident comes shortly after another accidental shooting occurred at Lake Worth Wal-Mart on October 31st. In that case, a man accidentally discharged his firearm while inside his vehicle, resulting in injuries to his hand and leg. Authorities also discovered that the pistol in question had been reported as stolen. Fortunately, the man's injuries were not deemed to be serious.
