On September 6, 2023, Lewisville police officers were dispatched to a firearm complaint in the 1000 block of Fox Avenue after reports of a person firing a gun in the area. Patrol officers and detectives from the street crimes unit responded to the scene to investigate the incident.
Following their arrival, law enforcement conducted a thorough investigation and swiftly identified a suspect who resided a few blocks away from the reported incident. Officers and detectives subsequently proceeded to the suspect's location, where they developed probable cause for an arrest.
The suspect in question was determined to be a juvenile, and they were apprehended by law enforcement officers. Subsequently, the juvenile was charged with aggravated assault and deadly conduct. After the arrest, the juvenile was later released to Denton County Juvenile Detention for further legal proceedings.
