On October 27, 2023, Plano Police Detectives, in collaboration with local retailers, successfully conducted a joint operation that resulted in the apprehension of nine theft suspects. Among those arrested were felons, repeat offenders, and members of a Houston retail theft crew accused of targeting stores in Plano, Allen, Grapevine, and Irving.
The apprehended suspects had criminal histories that elevated their theft charges to felony offenses, reflecting the seriousness of their actions. In addition to the arrests, law enforcement officers managed to recover approximately $7,500 worth of stolen property, providing some relief to affected businesses.
It was revealed that several of the suspects had traveled from out-of-state with the sole purpose of targeting retailers in Plano, highlighting the extent of their criminal activities.
Plano law enforcement officials expressed their pride and gratitude for the hard work and dedication of their detectives in making these arrests and recovering stolen property.
