The Dallas Police Department is currently investigating a tragic double fatality accident that took place overnight on Saturday.
At approximately 3:20 am, emergency responders from Dallas Fire Rescue and the Police Department rushed to the 4400 block of S. Great Trinity Forest Way in response to a collision involving a vehicle and an 18-wheeler.
According to the police, the driver of the vehicle collided with the semi-truck, resulting in a forceful impact that led to both vehicles catching fire.
The two occupants inside the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the 18-wheeler sustained injuries and was promptly transported to a hospital. Fortunately, the injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.
As of now, the circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation by the Dallas Police Department.
