A 9-1-1 call on Thursday night reported a person with a gun at Planet Fitness, prompting a response from Crowley Police.
Witnesses stated that at approximately 9:58 p.m., two individuals wearing ski masks and hoodies entered the gym, kicking several chairs in the process. One of the suspects tripped over the chairs. Although the suspects ordered people to the ground, at no point was a weapon displayed.
Crowley Police Officers arrived at the scene within two minutes of the emergency call. Upon reviewing security footage, it was confirmed that the two subjects left the building on foot after the incident.
In response to the perceived threat, patrons fled out the back door, leading to multiple additional 9-1-1 calls. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the suspects did not brandish a firearm during the incident.
The Crowley Police Department is currently investigating the case and seeking information from the public to identify the individuals involved.
