Police Special Crimes Detectives are actively searching for the suspect involved in a shooting that took place on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in the 1100 block of N. 6th St. at 9:53 p.m.
Upon responding to the incident, officers discovered 24-year-old Michael Everett Jr. suffering from a severe gunshot wound. Everett was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he remained in critical condition until his passing on November 17, 2023.

This investigation is the 11th homicide investigation for the year 2023.
