Basepath Partners with LONE STAR NIL to Empower Texas Student-Athletes in Groundbreaking NIL Program

Basepath, the prominent NIL operations software provider, has unveiled a strategic collaboration with LONE STAR NIL, an initiative exclusively designed to benefit student-athletes in Texas-based colleges and universities.

As the nation's pioneering NIL program with a concentrated statewide approach, LONE STAR NIL is dedicated to fostering enrollment, retention, and graduation at in-state educational institutions. The program serves as a direct link connecting Texan student-athletes with local businesses, charities, and communities. Apart from aiding student-athletes in navigating NIL activities, LONE STAR NIL is committed to facilitating opportunities in professional development, community service, and charitable initiatives, forging connections between high-achieving individuals and the vibrant Texas business community.

Distinctively, LONE STAR NIL diverges from the conventional focus on institutional boosters and supporters for NIL support, opting instead to target Texas-based companies, both large and small. These companies are encouraged to align their brands with successful college student-athletes. LONE STAR NIL agreements can complement a student-athlete's existing name, image, and likeness opportunities, offering engagement options for those with limited or no previous options.

Tom Burnett, the Founder and CEO of LONE STAR NIL, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, citing Basepath as the leading NIL operations software provider. "Basepath allows for a forward-thinking approach when connecting student-athletes with NIL deals, along with a user-friendly platform for both LONE STAR NIL and our partner student-athletes."

Under this collaboration, LONE STAR NIL will leverage Basepath's athlete operations software for task assignment, activity analysis through a dashboard, and contract automation via DocuSign integration. Basepath's wallet app is identified as an ideal tool for student-athletes to consolidate their NIL deals, manage income, estimate taxes, and access financial support. The software ensures compliance with both state and NCAA regulations.

Thomas Thomas Jr., CEO, and Co-Founder of Basepath expressed excitement about the partnership, praising LONE STAR NIL's innovative model focused on Texas student-athletes and businesses, believing it will bring significant value to the entire Texas athletics community.

LONE STAR NIL is open to eligible Texan student-athletes across 116 in-state public and private universities and colleges, spanning NCAA Division I to the state's extensive network of community and junior colleges.
