The playground at AS Johnston Elementary, 2801 Rutgers Drive, is closed until further notice due to play equipment damage sustained during the March 16 storm. City of Irving staff is assessing the damage and developing a timeline for repairs.
The playground is fenced off and signs are posted. Patrons are advised to avoid the area for safety.
