On December 10, 2023, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office responded to a distress call from an out-of-town caller reporting an incident at a residence. The caller indicated that his wife was at a neighbor's house, where a male was allegedly physically assaulting a pregnant female.
Upon arrival, a Deputy encountered a situation where the male suspect had barricaded himself inside the residence with the female victim. The Deputy observed blood both inside and outside the residence and noted injuries to the female victim's face. Despite attempts to enter the premises being hindered by a dog, the female eventually emerged.
Medical personnel were called to the scene to assess the condition of the injured female. Subsequently, the male suspect was taken into custody by the Deputy and transported to the Johnson County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
