Last night, the Sansom Park Police night shift made two separate felony arrests.
The first arrest took place when officers noticed a vehicle driving aggressively and erratically in the 5300 Block of Jacksboro Highway. Despite the attempt to stop the vehicle, it fled the scene. However, officers managed to capture its license plate through the license plate reader system. They then tracked down the driver at the registered owner's address, where the individual made incriminating statements. Consequently, the driver was arrested for Evading Arrest or Detention in a Vehicle.
The second arrest stemmed from a disturbance reported in the 5100 Block of Flagston Drive. Witnesses indicated that an individual had fired several gunshots near a group of people following an altercation. Upon arrival, officers thoroughly investigated the incident. As a result, a male suspect was apprehended for Deadly Conduct Discharge of a Firearm and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
In the latter incident, the Sansom Park Police Department received assistance from the River Oaks Police Department and Tarrant County Sheriff's Office.
