The Fort Worth Fire Department responded to reports of an industrial fire at Southwestern Petroleum Corporation on Deen Road this morning.
Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy flames emanating from a vacant three-story building with nearby industrial silos. Due to safety concerns, firefighters opted for a defensive strategy, battling the blaze from outside the structure.
The fire escalated to a second alarm, prompting the deployment of additional resources, including Hazmat teams. However, subsequent assessments revealed no hazardous materials present, and no evacuation orders were issued.
After approximately ninety minutes, firefighters managed to bring the fire under control. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
