On March 5, 2024, Irving Police Officers arrested 46-year-old Eunsook Kang, a resident of Las Colinas, in the morning. She was booked into the Irving Jail at 11:46 am. Kang is facing charges of Aggravated Promotion of Prostitution, Manufacture/Delivery CS PG1 <200G and Engaging in Organized Crime. The three charges are first-degree felonies in Texas.
Aggravated promotion of prostitution is a serious offense under Texas law, defined as knowingly owning, financing, controlling, supervising, or managing a prostitution business that involves two or more prostitutes. This can include activities such as running brothels, escort services, or online platforms facilitating prostitution.
In addition to the prostitution charges, Kang faces charges related to the manufacture and delivery of controlled substances, as well as engaging in organized crime. These charges also carry the severity of first-degree felonies.
Furthermore, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has requested an immigration hold due to Kang's illegal status in the United States.
On March 8th, Kang was transferred to the Dallas County Jail from the Irving Jail where she had been held since her arrest on March 5th. Despite her bond being set at $300,000, Kang remains incarcerated due to the ICE hold, which prohibits her from being released on bond.
