In a recent Dallas County court case, 32-year-old Jeremiah Wilson was found guilty of aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury with a deadly weapon.
The assault occurred when Wilson lit his girlfriend on fire. Wilson was arrested on January 7, 2023, following the incident. T
he prosecution team, led by Katherine Lessing with Caitlin Paver as second chair, along with DA investigators John Ludwigs and Lyle Gensler, and DA victim advocate Sharon Counts, presented the case against Wilson.
After the trial concluded on April 9, 2024, Wilson was pronounced guilty and sentenced to life in prison.
The investigating agency involved was the Dallas Police Department.
