On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, an Irving Police Officer spotted a vehicle reported as stolen. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to halt. Backup was requested, and a pursuit ensued.
Eventually, officers managed to apprehend the driver, identified as 18-year-old Zamodric Montrail Hearne Jr. Upon arrest, a weapon was discovered on his person.
Hearne faces charges of Theft Property valued between $2,500 and $30,000, Evading Arrest Detention, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Additionally, he is wanted on two warrants for Aggravated Robbery issued by the Dallas County Sheriff's Office.
