At approximately 8:35 pm on Wednesday evening (May 15th), emergency services including firefighters from Cleburne FD and Godley FD, paramedics from AMR, and multiple law enforcement agencies responded to reports of a plane crash near the intersection of Highway 4 and FM 2331. Upon arrival, responders discovered a small aircraft engulfed in flames in a nearby field.
Tragically, the pilot, identified as an 18-year-old male from Crowley, was pronounced deceased at the scene. No passengers were aboard the aircraft.
Preliminary investigations suggest the pilot ran out of fuel, resulting in the crash. The aircraft involved was a single-engine Cessna.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
