Drivers heading northbound on O’Connor Road will not be able to turn left to head west on Irving Blvd from Monday, May 20 through Friday, May 24. A detour will be in place directing traffic from northbound O’Connor Road to Rock Island Road, then left to head west on Rock Island Road, and left on Sowers Road to head south back to Irving Blvd.
This temporary change is necessary to allow the roadway contractor to correct a sewer manhole within the O’Connor Road/Irving Boulevard intersection. The work is part of the Irving Boulevard Reconstruction Project.
Construction will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Detours will be marked with signage, and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes when possible and to slow down through construction zones.
