The Temple Police Department is investigating the homicide of a 16-year-old male. At around 1:10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, officers were patrolling the 4300 block of Lions Park when they discovered an individual in the road with a gunshot wound.
The individual was found deceased at the scene.
No additional injuries have been reported, and there is no immediate threat to the community.

UPDATE: At around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, officers arrested a 15-year-old juvenile on a directive to apprehend for murder.
