On Tuesday, May 21st, at 1:09 PM, multiple agencies in Wise County responded to a major accident involving an 18-wheeler and a sedan on Farm to Market Road 51 South at Highway 114.
A preliminary investigation determined that a 70-year-old man driving a sedan northbound on FM 51 failed to yield the right of way to an 18-wheeler turning left onto FM 51 from westbound Highway 114.
The 70-year-old man, identified as a resident of Azle, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not seriously hurt.
