Last night, a Sansom Park Police Traffic Officer conducted two separate arrests, resulting in serious charges.
The first arrest occurred during a traffic stop for speeding. The driver showed signs of narcotic use, prompting a probable cause search. During the search, officers discovered a substantial quantity of crystal methamphetamine, along with scales, baggies, and other drug paraphernalia. Consequently, the driver was charged with the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1 (4-200g), a felony offense.
The second arrest occurred on Azle Avenue, where a vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed with a flat tire and significant front-end damage. Following the stop, the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
