Temple Police Investigating Series of Shootings

The Temple Police Department is currently investigating a series of shootings that occurred early Sunday morning.

At approximately 12:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of S 22nd Street following reports of shots fired. Officers found shell casings, property damage to a vehicle and an occupied home, but no injuries were reported.

Later, at around 4:18 a.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired at the 1700 block of E Adams. Upon arrival, they located shell casings in the roadway and property damage to an occupied home. Again, no injuries were reported.

At about 5:15 a.m., officers answered another call for shots fired. They found shell casings in the roadway but no damage or injuries.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., officers responded to a call at the 600 block of N 8th Street. The homeowner reported that shots were fired into their home sometime last night. No injuries were reported.

The preliminary investigation by the Temple Police Department Criminal Investigations Division has revealed that a small-sized black SUV, stolen from the Village at Meadowbend, was spotted by a witness at one of the shooting locations.
