On Sunday, June 9, at approximately 6:00am Garland Police responded to an accident on Rowlett Road, just east of Roan Road.
Officers learned that a red pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Rowlett Road when it lost control and made contact with the guardrail. Two passengers were ejected from the vehicle. They were located and pronounced deceased on the scene.
A third passenger was transported in critical condition. There were no other vehicles involved.
The Traffic Unit is investigating the events that led up to the accident. The Medical Examiner responded to the scene. The identifications of the victims are pending notification of the families. This is an ongoing investigation.
UPDATE: The two victims were identified as 19-year-old Carlos Villalta and 19-year-old Cristian Rodriquez of Garland.
