Robbery and Kidnapping in Fort Worth: Suspect Arrested, Second Suspect at Large

On Friday, July 5, 2024, at approximately 2:07 a.m., the Fort Worth Police Department responded to a robbery and kidnapping in the 6700 block of Golden Grove Road. The initial call indicated that a young female had been taken at gunpoint by two suspects. Officers who arrived on the scene found that two male suspects had entered a residence, abducted the young female, and took off in two stolen vehicles from the home.

At 2:51 a.m., officers found one of the stolen vehicles and attempted to stop it. The driver led officers in a brief pursuit that ended with a crash near the intersection of the South Freeway and Sycamore School Road. The suspect ran away from the vehicle and officers were able to arrest him. The victim was located safely inside the vehicle and taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The male suspect was taken to the Scott D. Moore Juvenile Justice Center on four felony charges (Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Robbery, Arson, Evading Arrest Detention on Foot, Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle, and Evading Arrest Detention with Vehicle).

This remains an ongoing investigation. There is no immediate threat to the general public as this incident is isolated.

The Fort Worth Police Department is searching for the second suspect who was described as either a Black or Hispanic male, approximately 5’6” tall.
