Valley Ranch Library will temporarily close for a multiday project to replace its aging HVAC system starting Saturday, Aug. 24. The library will shut down its rooftop cooling units after 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, as preparations begin for the new HVAC unit installation.
On Sunday, Aug. 25, a helicopter from Oklahoma will transport the new HVAC units from a truck in the library parking lot to the rooftop. This process will involve multiple deliveries as the helicopter lifts and places the large units. Following installation, crews will initiate the cooling process, which will take several days to complete due to the library’s 31,000 square feet of space.
The library is anticipated to reopen by Thursday, Aug. 29, weather permitting. The new HVAC system will support the library’s upcoming flooring replacement project, scheduled from Sept. 8 through Sept. 21.
